drupa 2016: trade fair premiere was a great success
drupa is over now. And honestly: It has taken quite a while for us to process all these impressions. It was CloudLab’s first drupa, and the first for our web to print software printQ. The rush of visitors was overwhelming, and it clearly showed us that with our solution we have our fingers right on the pulse of time. Neither the numerous new functions we implemented in our printQ version 2.0 nor the usability of our new user interface design failed to impress our visitors. We were able to convince and win over many prospects, including new international clients from Mexico, Canada, Denmark, South Africa, Hong Kong, France, Ireland, Malaysia and the US.
New features of printQ version 2.0
CloudLab used drupa as an opportunity to introduce the interested expert audience to the latest version of the web to print solution printQ. The innovative version 2.0 offers a unique end to end solution for the online distribution of print products, based on the eCommerce system Magento.
Our numerous new functions include for example:
> increased hosting speed and performance through innovative container technology
> new plugins for seamless integration, as well as an optimized print data preflight check
> new and intuitive responsive design interface of our print data editors (mobile-ready)
> enhanced user-friendliness, e.g. through innovative magnetic guidelines in our “on the product-editor”
> end users can now save and load projects
Lived and strengthened cooperation
drupa was a great success also for our cooperation partners. Canon AG, for example, our exclusive sales partner for Switzerland, reported the most successful drupa so far, and they were able to win over many interesting projects with our software. In order to document this cooperation “live and in color”, Canon had provided us with an Imagepress C800 digital printing machine. Integrated into our hotfolder-based production workflow, we could thus output brochures, which we had just generated together with prospects during personal software demonstrations, right from the machine. Persuasive evidence for how easily web to print workflow can be automated end to end with printQ.
In the drupa Innovation Park we were represented by two partners. Kollin Medien GmbH presented Print4Reseller, their marketplace 4.0 on the technical base of printQ. This online marketplace, which specifically targets print product retailers and buyers of print services, already has 50 network partners with a portfolio of more than 60 million product versions. Together with ClimatePartner, a leading business solution provider, who helps companies create growth opportunities through voluntary climate protection, we were able to introduce our recently developed climate protection module right in time for drupa. You can find further information on this cooperation and the module here: ClimatePartner press release
Also a new technological partnership was manifested at drupa: Jerry Kennelly, CEO of Tweak and Marc Horriar, CEO of CloudLab AG, have set themselves the common aim to take print shops online faster and better with their respective software solution. Tweak is the worlds leading self-service design application for print, with about 1.2 million design templates. In combination with the printQ software, this leads to a revolutionary user experience in web to print. Further information can be found here: Tweak’s blog entry
